League Play Season 3 Updates – DLC & Added Scorestreaks

Untitled-1

On the morning of Febuary 19th, Treyarch released changes to the League Play system at a very short moments notice. With the Call of Duty Championship approaching and Season 3 of League Play winding down, we have been introduced with new elements to adapt to over the next six days.

While most teams and individuals have grown very comfortable of the League Play ruleset for Season 3(used to qualify players for the CoD Championship), Treyarch has decided to throw us a curve ball in the last few days of the season. The devs have added Revolution DLC multiplayer maps to the Champions Series playlist, as well as allowed the Counter-UAV to be used in competitive play. There is also a rumor spreading that dedicated servers are no longer being used in League Play.

How drastically these changes will affect League Play as we know it we have yet to see. While some hope that this change in regards to maps may be Treyarch’s first approach to bringing DLC maps to competitive play, it is highly doubtful that such a move would occur when the current season is so close to finishing.

If you do not wish to play with the Revolution DLC maps in League Play, the solution is to uninstall them from your hard drive. At this current time the game developers have not added an option to turn off DLC.
